Southwest of Moab is Canyonlands National Park which features mesas and buttes carved by the Green and Colorado rivers, plus Native American rock art. Dinosaur tracks can be found at sites like Bull Canyon Overlook and Copper Ridge.

Quartzsite

Any van or RV lifer who wants to get away from the cold winter weather and hang out with other snowbirds, then Quartzsite is the place for you. Quartzsite is located in Arizona by the California border and has over 3,000 people. Interstate 10 runs directly through Quartzsite, which is at the intersection of U.S. Route 95 and Arizona State Route 95. Quartzsite is surrounded by thousands of acres of BLM land, which allows for free boondocking for an extended period of time.

Valley of Fire State Park

If you find yourself in the Las Vegas area, the Valley of Fire State Park is a must-visit for any nomad. The park is 40,000 acres full of bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops, petrified trees, and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years. The Visitor Center provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory, and history of the park and nearby region.
